Description

BlackGUARDIAN is the dietary supplement from Yamamoto® Nutrition developed to support liver purifying activity and gastrointestinal system functions and to exert a strong antioxidant action. The formula consists of 8 carefully selected ingredients that work in perfect synergy: extract of Milk thistle, NAC, Turmeric, Black Pepper, Inositol, Betaine, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12.

The liver plays a key role in our body. It oversees many biochemical functions, participates in metabolic reactions, acts as a filter to transform nutrients and is able to deactivate and remove the harmful toxins that we introduce in various ways (through the environment and diet). Given its crucial role, it is always advisable to act preventively to support the body’s physiological detoxification processes and liver function, before chronic exposure to harmful substances can result in situations of metabolic imbalance.

Various natural extracts can help promote liver health: BlackGUARDIAN contains 8 of them, all of the highest quality and purity.

Milk thistle extract is highly valued for its antioxidant action and promotes digestive and hepatic function. It is rich in bioactive substances, first and foremost silymarin, as well as some flavonoids and polyunsaturated oils, taxifolin, quercetin and apigenin. Silymarin in particular can accelerate the liver regenerationprocess, stimulate protein synthesis and exert a protective action against various potentially harmful substances, such as alcohol. Its action has several mechanisms of action: it can modify the cell membrane of hepatocytes, preventing toxic substances and toxins from penetrating it, and it is able to increase liver levels of glutathione (the main endogenous antioxidant), thereby promoting the regeneration of liver tissue.

N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)** consists of the amino acid cysteine combined with the acetyl group. It is a very potent antioxidant, capable of increasing endogenous levels of glutathione and is commonly used to promote liver function, respiration and lung function, and to prevent free radical-induced damage.

Turmeric extract, which has been used for centuries in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, acts by increasing biliary secretion and consequently facilitates digestion, as well as being an important support for liver function. Its countless benefits are associated with the presence of particular substances called curcuminoids.

Inositol**, often incorrectly referred to as vitamin B7, is considered an effective detoxifier due to its action on the mitochondria (the energy powerhouses of the cells): it acts as a kind of transporter of information for various enzymatic and metabolic reactions, such as hormone activation processes and lecithin synthesis. It is also helps to reduce LDL-cholesterol levels in the blood.

Extract of Black Pepper promotes regular gastrointestinal motility and helps to eliminate tiresome gas, as well as improving digestive processes.

Betaine**, a natural substance extracted from sugar beet, is a well-known methylating agent. This is why it is successfully used to treat homocystinuria and hyperhomocysteinaemia, as well as having demonstrated hepatoprotective and lipotrophic effects and neuroprotective activity against alcohol-induced damage.

The formula also contains Folic Acid and Vitamin B12, which help to reduce tiredness and fatigue.
