Infusion-ELITE Neil Hill Approved – High-protein food supplement ideal for post-workout recovery
When we train, we know that a series of traumas are created at the level of the muscle tissue directly related to the intensity of our workout. These micro-tears, real traumas that trigger a series of physiological reactions, must be repaired as soon as possible in order to optimize training results and return to training quickly. The breakdown of muscle fibers and their subsequent rebuilding converge in a process known as “protein turnover.” If we want to quickly rebuild strong muscles ready to face the most intense workouts, we must ensure reconstruction by supplying proper “plastic” material to fuel the regenerative fire of induced protein synthesis. The priority is to overcome muscle breakdown (catabolism), which is the foundation of reconstruction and muscle growth, steering protein balance positively during the rebuilding phase, amplifying protein synthesis, and reversing the breakdown of structural proteins through the immediate supply of protein/amino acids post-training.
The immediate availability of protein “plastic” material, and particularly the form in which it is supplied, strongly influences the efficiency and speed of this reconstruction. Providing the bloodstream with all the essential amino acids, supported by other valuable ones that enhance muscle rebuilding (along with glucose), especially after exercise, significantly increases the power of protein synthesis. Athletes who train with intensity and consistency know that eating solid food right after a workout is not advisable. Yet, the hours following training are crucial for rebuilding—even if, at that moment, our body is not physiologically “ready” to digest and absorb, due to acute inflammation and an activated sympathetic nervous system. The time required for digestion and making amino acids bioavailable is too long if we aim to optimize recovery and promote maximum anabolic response. Today, science confirms this with multiple studies on post-workout protein supplementation, providing us with crucial data on the “timing” and type of micronutrients to choose.
Recent research suggests that a combination of different protein sources (with varying absorption and release times into the bloodstream) is more effective than a single source, even if it’s of high biological value, confirming this approach as the best post-workout choice for muscle rebuilding.
The supplement market offers several high-quality protein sources derived from dairy and beyond (such as egg whites), with different amino acid compositions and digestion/absorption times. For instance, whey proteins, whether concentrated or isolated, are digested and absorbed relatively quickly, and even more so in their “hydrolyzed” form. Hydrolysis breaks them into smaller peptides that are absorbed more rapidly and retain their composition and effectiveness in protein synthesis. This doesn’t diminish the value of slower-digesting sources like egg whites or caseins, which help maintain sustained protein synthesis long after the so-called 30-minute “anabolic window.” In fact, recovery continues for 6, 24, and even 48 hours post-training.
Research into nutrient timing has shown that fast and effective amino acid support—paired with sustained release until the next solid meal—is increasingly essential.
Today, science and advanced production technologies allow us to use high-biological-value proteins in hydrolyzed (pre-digested) forms, broken into small peptides that reach our muscles extremely quickly, bypassing heavy digestive processes.
Infusion-ELITE is part of the “Neil Hill Approved” line, designed to rapidly deliver the highest-quality amino acid-protein material to athletes who need fast, efficient muscle recovery. It includes a blend of highly digestible, rapidly absorbed proteins—ideal for the immediate post-workout phase when the body is still “on alert” and unprepared for food digestion. To optimize recovery and results, it’s essential to quickly provide the muscles what they need to grow.
The idea behind this outstanding recovery protein supplement is to deliver amino acid-rich protein into the bloodstream as quickly as possible and sustain it for hours afterward. Infusion-ELITE is tasty, light on digestion, and uses certified high-biological-value protein from state-of-the-art microfiltration and hydrolysis technology. It ensures a rapid onset of muscle rebuilding and maintains high aminoacidemia for hours via a new-generation protein blend with fast, ultra-fast, and slower absorption rates—offering a balance unmatched in formulation and ingredient quality.
Scientifically Formulated Multi-Source Blend
Recent scientific literature supports the use of multi-source protein blends to enhance and prolong protein synthesis by offering staggered digestion and absorption profiles. Infusion-ELITE includes:
- 45% Cross-flow microfiltered whey protein isolate (Volactive® UltraWhey XP)
- 25% Egg white protein
- 20% Casein hydrolysate (PeptoPro®)
- 10% Hydrolyzed whey protein isolate (Optipep® 90 DH4)
Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) – Volactive® UltraWhey XP is the best isolate available, obtained via cross-flow microfiltration. This advanced technology removes lactose and lipids, preserving bioactive fractions and achieving a protein content around 90%. It ensures rapid digestibility and high amino acid bioavailability, particularly insulinogenic ones (arginine, phenylalanine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, valine, glycine), which support anabolic recovery.
Egg White Protein – Chosen for its high biological value and slow release, egg protein is fully digested and absorbed by the body, enhancing satiety and extending amino acid delivery.
PeptoPro® Casein Hydrolysate – This innovative casein derivative, first introduced to the European market by Yamamoto®, is enzymatically hydrolyzed into ultra-small peptides (mainly di- and tri-peptides under 300 Daltons) for exceptionally fast absorption—ideal for athletes in the post-workout “critical” window. PeptoPro® is also hypoallergenic, making it suitable for those sensitive to whole milk proteins. Combined with high-GI carbohydrates, it further enhances glycogen resynthesis via its insulinogenic effect.
Optipep® 90 DH4 Hydrolysate – Derived from enzymatically hydrolyzed whey isolate and certified Grass-Fed™, this premium ingredient offers rapid amino acid availability and enhances protein synthesis synergy when combined with PeptoPro®. This dual hydrolysate pairing delivers unmatched recovery support.
This blend creates a sophisticated protein delivery system that ensures:
- Immediate amino acid delivery
- Prolonged aminoacidemia for extended protein synthesis
- Enhanced recovery and performance adaptation
Why This Protein Blend Works
- Volactive® UltraWhey XP preserves bioactive fractions and ensures high insulinogenic response, optimizing nutrient delivery and muscle recovery.
- Egg White Protein adds prolonged release, promoting continuous support for muscle synthesis beyond the initial post-exercise window.
- PeptoPro® is enzymatically hydrolyzed from slow-digesting casein into di- and tri-peptides for ultra-rapid uptake, bypassing common digestive limitations. Its hypoallergenic nature is a plus for those with dairy sensitivities.
- Optipep® 90 DH4 complements the matrix by supporting both rapid absorption and insulin response, crucial for replenishing glycogen and initiating repair.
Digestibility and Palatability
Thanks to Yamamoto® Nutrition’s advanced flavoring and manufacturing processes, Infusion-ELITE offers exceptional taste and solubility despite its high hydrolysate content. This sets it apart from traditional hydrolyzed proteins, which are notoriously bitter and difficult to mask without compromising protein concentration.
